>> April, 2010 - Homeowners, please take note of the new federal requirements concerning abatement of lead paint on houses built prior to 1978. Starting April 22, certain mesures must be taken when any existing area of the house is disturbed. Newpoint Construction Company has passed the course work required for "Approved Lead-Safe Renovation" and is well versed in the procedure and processes required. Financial penalties can result if caught not following the new guildlines, so be sure to inquire about this if you are considering any new work on your home.
>> April, 2010 - Work is continuing on the new green house on Victoria Ave. A significant amount of progress has been made on the major retaining wall and basement foundation walls. A 22,000 gallon cistern has been poured as part of the LEED Certification process, and will be used to collect rain water and redistribute it for irrigation. This is just one of many of the green building techniques being used on this home! The remaining foundation walls are being formed and poured, and soon the first level floor system will be going down. Stop by and have a look!
